Ride Guide
The D/FW Texas USA Chapter Ride Guide is available to all Chapter members.
It contains information that each member is expected to know and observe so that everyone can participate in safe and enjoyable group rides with the Chapter.
New members receive a copy when they join the Chapter. Copies are also available at Texas Harley-Davidson or download.

Version 1.10 (January 9, 2010):
- Added "managing traffic" by waiving them into the group. (page 5)
- Other minor changes.
Version 1.9 (March 27, 2007):
- Added the "Turn Beacon" procedure for use when the group becomes separated (Page 5).
- Added parking procedure to pull into the parking lot as far as possible and to park by pulling in side-by-side at an angle so that backing up is not required (Page 6).
- Changed the Emergencies section to distinguish between stopping for mechanical or personal reasons and stopping due to an accident (Page 6).
- Other minor changes.
Version 1.8 (May 2, 2005):
- The new Release Form requirements from national H.O.G.
- Addition of two hand signals, "Stop" and "Pull Off."

Ride Guide use by other Chapters
To promote safety in the riding community, D/FW Texas USA Chapter permits other Harley Owners Group® chapters to download and use our "Ride Guide" in whole or in part in their Chapter publications. We ask that any use of the Ride Guide be accompanied by an appropriate acknowledgement to D/FW Texas USA Chapter.

Safe Rider Skills Program

U.S. H.O.G. members are eligible to receive a "Safe Rider Skills" pin and patch and partial tuition reimbursement in the form of a voucher for up to $50 for the successful completion of an accredited rider training course.
To get your pin, patch and voucher, you must submit the "Safe Rider Skills Form" on the Harley Owners Group website.
How to locate the form and learn more about the program:
- Go to the Harley Owners Group website.
- Stay on the home page and Sign In.
- Scroll down to the "Manage Your Membership" topic and click the "Log in to Manage Your Membership" link. Your Profile page displays.
- Click the "Safe Rider Skills" link. If you see an error panel, just click the "OK" button. The first page of the form displays.
From here you can complete and submit your form or learn more about the progam by clicking the "FAQ" link and then expand the "What is Safe Rider Skills Program?" question.
The FAQ explains the eligibility requirements, how your voucher may be used, how to find a local rider training class, and the member participation required for Texas Harley-Davidson to receive a Safe Rider Skills plaque.
